Fake

Watching love drifting away
And I feel like I’m someone else
The hurting is rough
Long are the days
And you have hurt me enough

You’re scared to be loved
You know that’s your way
Your youth has made you too tough
You’re hurting for love in so many ways
The truth has hurt you enough

I read a book
And it’s your face
Fake: it’s your face now
Still my love for you was no mistake
Fake: I will always love you
Fake

Hoping for love
Day after day
And it’s always someone else
The hurting is rough
Long are the days
And you have hurt me enough

You’re burning your hair
On your cigarette, oh baby
Turning your nose up
At the clothes your girlfriend wears
I don’t care

Always, always, always I will love you

Not Into you or what

luckily, few days after “landing” here , and after one or two interviews, I signed my first normal job contract! Good news alright!. Doing exactly what I wanted to do ever since, nice multinational company adding some weight to my otherwise “light” CV. In addition to that, I’m working with multi-national, English-speaking (AT LAST), funny, different, interesting, young people.(or people who feel young!)

Job is so good I do extra work hours voluntarily . (yes, that’s still me.) But anyway that’s the thing: you like what you do: you wanna keep doing it. No surprises right? None for me at least.

And then the apartment hunting: Which took A LOT MORE Than the job hunting. Luckily, Greek friends let me stay at theirs for quite some time in order for me to get settled in. Saved a fortune from hotels!..

After some endless visiting apartments, arguing with real estate agents (they don’t like it when you don’t choose immediately an apartment from the 3 or 4 they show you – apparently a decision for a 700€/month (Brussels pricing) apartment should be taken lightly), signing for an apartment in the “wrong” suburbs (apparently Brussels can be kinda dangerous if you don’t know where to go) I FINALLY live somewhere (although still don’t know if it will be for the long term.)

Some problems with housing here are:

1/ choosing the right suburb and avoiding bad neighborhoods

2/ most apartment contracts are for Three-years: The system says that if you break you contract on the first year, you pay 3 months of penalty (!!), 2 months for the second year and 1 month for the last one. Not so flexible.

3/ short-term apartment contracts are more expensive than other ones and you can’t really choose – less options -

But ANYWAY, right now I’m kinda subrenting -lucky- so really on the flexible side.

Leaving all (unimportant) things aside, let’s cut to the chase:

so I met this dutch girl the other day! (yesterday).. Being here for a month I’ve realized cute girls are rare, but this one was an exception. Following the typical characteristics I like (and I believe all of you readers are aware which those are), I got into talking with her and finally asked for her number. She was either really social – or interested. (you never know with these foreign north European girls – a Greek one never spends more than 30 seconds talking to you if she’s not into you), but she was definitely cute&talkative. I’ve never met a Dutch girl. Interesting. She wants to learn French, she likes living in different cities and learning languages, she is 25.. And she has this magnificent eyes that you just don’t want to stop staring at – or you just can’t stand looking at directly..

Bad news: She seems “busy”..
