Headlines!

February is reaching to its end and school starts again this Monday. Strange thing though, while every other French University has the “Winter Break” or as the French say “vacances d’Hiver”, we have just school like nothing happened. Well anyway, I don’t complain, but imagine the guys that had a two-month internship. Gosh.

The May internship search is really heating up and I launched a.. massive-paneuropean-cvs-.thing… (sending resumes everywhere). This is exciting but a bit stressfull at the same time. (I suppose thats the price that comes with excitement!)

So, to cut a long story short, no clue where I’m ending. Seems job opportunities are mostly in Belgium, Luxembourg, Germany, Switzerland. Added to that the language advantage (speaking French). Anyway, for the moment I can’t really decide so we’re just waiting to see. Looking forward too. Too many studies, too many wrong choices in that area.

February and January probably the coldest months here. I got sick like two or three times and I finally had to take these antibiotics (like the song says). Well maybe I could be a bit more carefull and I could just stay at home for a couple of days after the illness so I don’t get ill again and maybe I could dress a bit more warmly. Anyway, I suppose I won’t have to worry about that until next winter (wherever that winter will find me).

And since I had quite some spare time these two months I had the opportunity to explore the small city until I began getting bored of it! Yep yep..  It’s true. It is indeed a sweet, beautiful, calm city. And with the right company, it can be super cool. But dammit, sometimes, you miss the options that a big city can provide. But anyway, even if Aix En Provence is a small city (which really is), for me it remains many many times better than any chaotic urban lifestyl (Athens).

Maybe important role for the boring times (not so many but anyway I like to exagerate) played the fact that I didn’t travel as planned. Why didn’t I? Good question. Well, after the school ended, I really relaxed, and I found time to do everything I wanted to do since I came here. The nightlife, the social life, the daily stuff back home. Before I knew it time passed by, and whenever we tried to organise something everyone had a different schedule. Like one could do it this date the other one that date and there we go..

On the other hand, I realized that I’d  prefer to stay for the longterm somewhere, than going as a tourist for a weekend or a week. Here comes my decision to search for an internship outside France. I’m paying for the damn rent anyway, (and an expensive one), so why not keep paying it by gaining new experiences and living different lifestyles in other countries? So I’ll have my trips anyhow! (not to mention maybe I’ll have to do them cause of the interviews. Recently I discovered phone interviews are not so widely used. So business with pleasure!)

Going to the more personal level, I had a party couple of weeks ago. My first party! It was fun. Well, it could have been better, considering some wrong choices I made during the party caused it to end a bit sooner than planned, but now that I got the experience, I’ll throw definately one for my birthday 31st of March. Or maybe people throw a suprise party for me! (naaah seriously doubt) Which leads us to the next topic:

My month! Yep yep. A month that every year proves to be the most interesting. I love that month. Winter fades away, spring fades in, summer is somewhat closer, it’s my zodiac sign’s month, etc etc
