The one I’m sick for like 2 weeks.

Not last weekend, but the previous one, I got down with a cold. I had a mild fever, was feeling tired and all. Anyway, within 3-4 days some some extra-caution, it started going away and I felt free to go out and continue the last going-out marathon that’s been going on after Christmas. (told ya)

Apparently, I wasn’t completely ready for that, so last Sunday I woke up feeling really weird, and within some hours fever had risen. That was some bad news, cause a re-lapse from a cold is like the worst thing it can happen. Most of the times some form of atypical pneumonia is possible and generally your immune is already so fucked up the virus can just party (his turn..) non-stop.

And that happened to my case. Doctor said “its going to go away without antibiotics” but the damn thing kept going worse and worse. Yesterday the fever reached sthing like 39. Anyway, today I revisited and he gave me these antibiotics, probably cause I pushed him a bit. The thing is, now it seems the fever is calming a bit, and I’m seriously thinking of delaying the pills in case it goes away alone.

Aaaaaaaanyway, this month was quite some fun, we met lots of new people that arrived for the 2nd season from all over the world, and I can say I’m really satisfied bout life here. Now if only this flu went away soon, we’ll be able to enjoy our “winter break” a bit more dammit.

That’s it for now, I’ll probably have more to say in the next one!

Post holidays and 2009 resolutions (?)

Happy new year!

For the holidays I decided to stay in France as planned from the beginning. And after the recent riots and all the bad news from back home, I didn’t have any kind of need to return. And as I decided to stay here, it’s the family that came over for the holidays.

Quick conclusion I should not forget: I AM SO USED TO LIVING ALONE.

This last month was quite interesting, and I think (and hope) the next one will be even more! There was quite some alcohol going on, I met people, more than I’ve met since I’m here, and generally it wasn’t at all boring! (as boredom seems to be my greatest worry). Read Full Story » »
