Salut ! you probably got an “abonnement limité aux appels nationaux”. That only allows you to call and be called within France. But that’s kind of weird because usually the limitation is when you are abroad (in which case you have to activate that option BEFORE leaving France). Based on the fact you had said you went to France Télécom, I assume you have an Orange subscription. Check with them what your options are otherwise just change them (it can usually be done on the http://www.orange.fr website). That was today’s advice

i have a SFR card, not an abonnement!… I called SFR and they said it’s active.. I visited SFR shop and they didn’t know why.
Maybe it’s something to do with my mobile device.. (bought in greece)

when I first came to Brussels and had a card, I had a problem with text messages…I could receive some but not others, I could send some but not others. Turned out that it was a commercial issue between operators in different countries. Maybe that’s your problem… Once I got a “regular” subscription, all problems disappeared.

yep.. i guess if i make a contract it will work better, but for now i m not thinking about it bcause i dont know if i ll stay that long in france..
