Νιώθω τυχερός που σκαλίζοντας μία playlist 80′s έπεσα πάνω στην SADE κι αποφάσισα να την ψάξω λίγο παραπάνω.
Γεννήθηκε στην Νιγηρία, αλλά μεγάλωσε στο βόρειο Λονδίνο, μιάς και η μητέρα της ήταν Αγγλίδα. Ξεκίνησε συμμετέχοντας σε διάφορα groups, και εν τέλει υπέγραψε συμφωνία με την EPIC.
Το πρώτο της album, Diamond Life, συμπεριλάμβανε και το πλέον διάσημο single της “Smooth Operator“, που φυσικά την έκανε ευρέως γνωστή.
Οι επιτυχίες διαδέχθηκαν η μία την άλλη, “The Sweetest Taboo” (που είναι και το αγαπημένο μου), “No ordinary Love” , “Feel no pain“. Η Sade προσωπικά με μαγεύει με την απαλότητα της φωνής της, αλλά ταυτόχρονα με την αμεσότητα που περνά τα lyrics των κομματιών. Κάποιος θα μπορούσε να πει ότι είναι εύπεπτη Pop, αλλά αυτό δεν είναι απαραίτητα κακό.
Τα album της αξίζουν να ακουστούν ολόκληρα, κι όχι μόνο ως singles. Μπορούν να αποτελέσουν ένα super συνοδευτικό για μοναχικές ή όχι στιγμές, παρέα με coctails, sparkling wines, και όλα τα lounge accesories. Για κάποιον που θέλει να ξεκινήσει θα πρότεινα να πάρει χρονολογικά τα albums μιάς και ο ήχος της ωριμάζει αναλογικά κάθε φορά όλο και περισσότερο.
